Re: Question For plus size girls

I was very uncomfortable just trying on strapless wedding gowns...never mind BM.
I would say....
Look at any girl who wears strapless even if you are size 2. All they do all night is constanly pull the dress up. I don't understand how anyone could be comfortable.

My vote is to let all your girls pick the dress they are most comfortable. That is what I did. I have 4 girls & four different dresses but same color.

Good Luck to you.

I was just at a wedding and one of the girls was a recent mom and therefore on the heavy side -- the bride, who had everyone get strapless dresses, worked with her and a seamstress and got nice supportive straps put on to help her out. Everything looked great and you could tell she was much more comfortable!

I'm not at all comfortable in a strapless gown. I'm pissed that people took pics in my wedding dress before I could get the jacket on. If they all have proportional upper arms, it's not so bad, but some of us have ham-hock arms.

PSA: If your strapless gown is falling down, the waist strap isn't cinched enough. If there is no waist strap, it's a cheap-*** gown, and it doesn't matter who's name is on it.

Yes, maybe spagetti straps.

I wear strapless all the time.

Wore a jim hjelm to a wedding in Nov. And got strapless for my own wedding.

I'm very proportionate though and extremely confident. (I think it depends on the person)

I am very top heavy and I hate strapless. All I do is pull the dress up every 10 minutes. Even tiny spaghetti straps are better than strapless. But it's your wedding!

well i was going to let the girls all pick their own dress but i like dresses that are two tone and not all the styles like that go together...so then i was thinking of just finding out if certain styles can be made with straps or different tops.
i know its my wedding but the last thing i want is my BM's not feeling pretty

Re: Question For plus size girls

for my bm dresses they had the option of leaving it strapless or having straps. It had a button on the inside and came with straps if you wanted to put them on. This way whomever wanted strapless was able to do that and whomever didnt want it, didnt have to do it.

For me i hate strapless bc i am top heavy and it never works out. For my wedding i was surprised i went strapless...but they do fit it perfectly to you and the dress wont move

i am a plus size girl, I am very comfortable in strapless dresses, but only if there is a wrap to go with it so for pics I can cover my arms. For the reception i don't feel as self concious

I prefer a strapless gown, I loved my BM dress that was strapless which is why I chose for my wedding gown to be strapless as well. I am a broad girl and a lot of the thin strap dresses accentuate that feature even more.

I'm sooooooooo on the boat with you i hate my arms... if you do strapless make sure there is some option for a wrap or something to make them feel comfortable.
