Alex is almost 11 months old. What do you do or where do you GO with your children for fun?
We do all the songs and counting and ABC's but I feel like its pretty bland. We are at home all of the time. He's not walking yet, but he stands up and he will RUN holding onto somethnig! I really want to take him somewhere and DO something for him.. But I have no idea where. I have no girlfriends that have kids.. (Except you all)..

Re: Question for SAH moms....
I also wanted to add that I really don't watch a lot of TV with Alex.. We do sometimes, but that is something I don't like to spend a lot of time with. I really would like new ideas on where to go and what to do with him... He's learning all new things and he's so explorative, and He's intrigued BY EVERYTHING.....
...nobody has any suggestions?

Re: Question for SAH moms....
I'm not a SAH mom (or a mom, for that matter!) but my sister used to take her son to gymboree and to the Little Gym (it's in Huntington, I'm not sure where you are) or to Barnes & Noble- they have a little play area and you can read books to your son while you're there. Hope this helps!

Re: Question for SAH moms....
Im a SAHM - Emma takes swimming lessons every Wednesday at 10, she is starting Kindermusic Tuesdays at 10:30 on Feb 3, I also baby sit a friends kid for 3 hours on Thrus and Fris. I dont want to over do it with activities. We dont watch TV a lot but I leave something on otherwise it will be too quiet in the house!

Re: Question for SAH moms....
When Patrick was that age. I would take him to friends houses for 'Play Dates'. If it was raining, snowing or to cold to go to the park I'd take him to the mall. Just to get him out of the house.

Re: Question for SAH moms....
Definitely check out your local library. They offer free crafts and storytimes, plus you will meet other mothers who may be in the same situation as you. (I am not a mother, but I am a librarian so I thought I'd share ).
