In my school, it is just a day of going over rules and going to workshops.

Its just a back to school kind of meeting. Any new rules or regulations will be discussed, first day procedures, introduction of new staff that kind of thing. Then usually they break it off by department for a smaller meeting and they give you time to set up your classroom and such

I just had mine yesterday-- every disrict is different, but we had to listen to two hours of speeches, go to a school meeting, a department meeting, and then we got to set up our rooms and stuff....

So considering they asked me to be there at 8am, when will I be home? lol

you'll be home whenever the actual school day ends. so around 3 or 3:30.

it's the first 'real' day of school...just minus the kids. we had ours yesterday. what fun.

Mines great! First we have breakfast and then we go in the auditorium, the super hands out awards, then the jazz choir sings about 8 songs for us, then a little more talking then we go to our own buildings for faculty meetings!

If hes inviting you thats a great sign!
