The gown I am leaning towards buying is taffeta. I'm stumped about what shoes I'd buy because I am totally against wearing an open shoe on my wedding day (call me old fashioned, but I don't want my toes out and I'd never wear pantyhose with an open shoe).

Yes, you dont need pantyhose... HOWEVER.... Victoria's Secret makes a pantyhose that has like a thong toe so you can wear them with open toe shoes and it doesnt look tacky!!

I meant that I'm looking for a closed toe heel. I don't want an open shoe.

I think you can wear closed tow heels with a taffeta dress. maybe like a cute pair of sling backs.
