Re: Question for the ladies...
My one thing was the bridal suite. It was the first room I saw and I feel in LOVE with it. For some reason the bridal suite was important to me. I really wanted to have that place to hang out during the cocktail hour and stuff. But, then as we walked through the place everything was exactly what I wanted. I know it might sound cheesy but I could really picture our wedding there.

Re: Question for the ladies...
When I went into my hall, Floral Terrace, I just got a mushy feeling in my stomach and when I saw the room, it was breathtaking and I was sold. It was also a great benefit that it is 1 wedding at a time and I have 4 floors for the wedding. I just knew and fell in love with it right away. I saw 3 other halls after and it was like nothing else couls compare. Hope that helps!!!

Re: Question for the ladies...
I really wanted a nice, intimate setting. Some place that only holds one wedding at a time, where the food and service were AMAZING. once FH and I walked into the North Ritz Club, we looked at eachother and without even saying anything, we just knew it was perfect for us..and i've heard nothing but rave reviews since!! I cant wait

Re: Question for the ladies...
Definitely think about how the place makes you feel when you go in and if you can picture your wedding there. I
picked my RH b/c I loved that they held one wedding at a time, the people were so nice and made me feel comfortable and welcome (another thing to consider!). My hall is on the water, so I loved the surroundings and the grounds outside. My bridal suite really isn't that big, which might be a pain that day, but in the grand scheme of things there were so many other pluses that I was willing to over look that factor. The price and the few accomodations they made for us didn't hurt either!
Where ever you choose will be beautiful! good luck!

I definatley fell in love with the gardens and fountains at Majestic Gardens. I loved that it was one wedding at a time also. Their dancefloor is also marble which looks so beautiful! It really made me feel like it was the place to be!
Oh and of course the price was reasonble! LOL

I cant explain it... We just walked in and KNEW it was the right place... My FH was actually the one that said something first... He told me to stop looking that our place was THE place! The setup is gorgeous, the food was AMAZING, and the price was right!

Re: Question for the ladies...
We checked out a couple places, I thought the Watermill was 'the one' then we went to one more place (HWC) and days after I couldn't stop thinking about it or stop envisioning my wedding there-thats how I knew!

Re: Question for the ladies...
I was torn between two places, but bottom line came the total cost. My first choice was just too expensive for our budget. Nothing wrong with NRC being my second choice. I loved the place when we walked into it, loved the fact that there was only one wedding at a time, loved the fact that CH and Reception are on the same floor so smooth transition. There is a dedicated ceremony location, not just a converted ballroom. I really liked that the bathroom in the bridal suite was large. The dressing area was large too, with great mirrors - a plus since I was dressing at the RH. The only thing that made NRC my second choice was the ceremony room itself. It was kind of bland and I don't like that the entrance doors are in the middle of the room - and the opening is screened off from the main room. kind of like walking thru a maze.

Re: Question for the ladies...
I think its very subjective....i know some of my friends really wanted a place that only had 1 wedding going on...i have another friend who doesn't want it on a main road...for me I wanted something different that didn't have the 'catering hall' feel....another friend definitely needed a vienese hour....i think only you can know what's most importnat to you...

Re: Question for the ladies...
I was in love with 2 places as well--Westbury and North Ritz We just sat down and looked at everything that we got for the price and I thought about how one was more open and one was more set back in a quieter area - I thought about the time of year and how I wanted gardens. In the end Westbury won, but it def took a few weeks to decide

Re: Question for the ladies...
i think the food is a really big deal.... no matter how gorgous the place is, people will remember if the food is blah. JT's food was freakin' out of this WOOORLD! i also just loved the whole ambience of the place....definetly the elegance i was looking for :) but OOOOH the food! everything was just so impressive! people still talk about the cocktail hour & viennese!(not to mention the entrees!) mmm..delish! we paid a little more than some of the other places we looked at, but it was totally worth it

Re: Question for the ladies...
I would have to say if you like both price. Where can you get the most for your money. And definitley Food. Read reviews from both halls and see what real Brides have to say. Good luck!

Re: Question for the ladies...
My FH was like obsessed with having a 'nice drive up to the place'. Sooo funny , we also wanted a place that was one wedding at a time so the place would be all ours for the day! We knew we also wanted something intimate, not people floating alll around this huge place. Good luck, I'm sure you will love whatever you pick!
