Did you guys if you had belly rings have to take them out?

I don't have a belly ring, just rolls... but since I'm a mommy now, I get to answer this!!

BTW, my friend did/does have one and, indeed, it must come out!!

I'm dreading this as well... I got mine for my 18th birthday and it's a part of me now.. I've read a lot that says you don't have to take it out but also have heard you do...If I have to take it out I don't know what you do to close up the hole!!! And I would also want to have it after being pregnant but don't think I could ever get the courage again!

Oh forget it, me neither. I would never have the courage again, plus after a baby, I don't think my stomache would quite look the same. :(

So enjoy it while you have it girls. I am actually kinda looking forward to getting it out. It gets infectioned sometimes and itches, you girls know.

I have heard the hole doesn't close up! OMG! That is scaring me! Is it true, anyone know? Gross...

T I have my belly button pierced and I kept it in till like 6 or 7 months when my belly started to get big and my belly button was ready to pop out, what my gyno did for me was put sergical thread through the pierced hole and tied it real tight at the end and it kept my hole open enough that after I had the baby I was able to get it back in no problem.

That's what I just remembered hearing! Something like fishing line to keep the hole open. I might stick with that! They say to take it out when you start showing..and put the line through it till after the baby is born

I had a small scar from where I had had a belly ring (took it out years before I was pg). Unfortunately now, it looks much darker and stretched out than it used to...maybe I should get a new one to cover it up??!?!?
