I'm an only child and my mother is not taking well to me getting married, she is starting to come around now but not the way I would like. Can you suggest any ways for me to make her as happy as i am?

Well if you haven't already done this, try involving her in things with you and your fiance. Help her to see the idea that she's 'not losing a daughter but gaining a son'...
It can be wedding-related stuff or not, just try to get her to know your FI so she will see why you are so happy to include him in the family. Don't know your situation, but do you get to spend much time together?
