Are you giving some kind of favor at your rehearsal dinner?? My friend gave out these cute wedding cake cookies at hers and I thought it would be cute to have something. Nothing extravagent. FH actually just bought me a chocolate making kit and one of the molds is chocolate spoons with a heart on them. I was thinking of making the chocolate spoons and wrapping them in celophane and attaching a little card thanking them for making the time to come to the rehearsal. What do ya think??

i think that's a great idea.... we bought champagne glasses and are going to put those covered almonds in them for the rehearsal dinner.....

not doing favors for the RD or the wedding, it's yet another thing to pay for and worry about....but I am surprising FH with a grooms' cake at the RD....I wanted to do it at the wedding, but there are too many people.

we purchased voltive candles in bulk at Bed Bath and Beyond and I'm going to write our name, date and 'rehearsal dinner' on them with a paint pen. They'll burn during the dinner and if they want they can take them home. I bought 24 for $15.00

We also aren't doing favors since we are giving out the gifts that nite. I have never been to a rehearsal dinner where they gave favors so that is a new one to me.

We had a smallish RD at a restaurant so we did not give favors or have menus or do things that I tend to associate with larger parties.
But if I had had a RD with a ton of people in a private facility, I think favors are a nice touch if you can fit it in the budget.

well, since FH's parents are paying for the rehearsal dinner, they decided they wanted to do favors...that's the only reason we're doing them. His parents only have two sons and we're pretty much doing all of the planning ourselves....so i think his mom knows that she's not going to be able to help plan a wedding again and is having fun planning the RD. So even though it's going to be a fairly small party....she's going to go all out to plan it. I think it's sweet and it's making her very very happy
