Question For those that cook -

I'm making firecracker enchiladas and the recipe says I have to put them in the broiler for 5-7 min. I don't have any broiler safe dishes can I just put them in the oven???

Do you have cast iron? Like Le Crueset? You can use that but be careful because it will be very hot.

i guess depending on how much liquid you're talking you could make a dish out of the foil, just make the sides high, you could always put like 3 layers of foil to make it slightly stronger.

corningware?? that will work too....I think. I seem to remember my mom throwing her corningware in the oven, though I don't have any so I can't say directly.

Re: Question For those that cook -

ive just used a generic square baking pan (like random extra ones that i have) in the broiler (not sure if it's meant to go in there or not) but nothing has happened to it.

maybe those foil throw-away containers??? although im not sure if those are meant for high heat.
