Question for those who didn't get all their registry items

I only got 3 pcs of stemware (one of each style Wine, Water & flute) from our registry. Being that the crystal I choose is pretty pricey $95./pc and that I don't see DH and I buying all the rest of them anytime soon (due to home expenses ect). Should I return them and just wait to buy a more affordable set later on. Or do you think I'll regret doing this b/c it was a wedding gift?

i didn't get all of my items ether. but mom and FMIL made a good point that its a nice list for holidays and birthdays etc....
I received one water goblet and 2 wine glasses - I'm def. keeping mine. couldn't bear to return them even if we never got another piece.

the other thing is, if you registered at like macy's you get a card with $$ on it after the wedding - a percentage of the gifts bought. so if you're there you could use that card to make even sets of two ?

Yeah I don't think I could part with them either, they're so beautiful everytime I take them out I'm like Oooh they're gorgeous. I can't wait to use them someday. That's a good pt that I can ask for them for Christmas gifts going forward,,,,we'll see how many yrs that may take lol. Anyway I was just worried that the style maybe discontinued before I manage to afford all the pcs.

I'm not sure what you mean by the Macy's $$ card thing. Although I didn't register there, I registered at Bloomies which is a Federated store to so they should have the same policy. They just give you a $$ card for a percentage of what everyone bought?? I don't think I understand.

i would decide which you like best, and exchange the others to get more of the same, so you'd have a set of 2 or 4 (either keep store credit, or buy 1 more). then down the road you can add to it or just keep it as a small set for you and DH to use, or with a small gathering of friends
