Question for those who used a buyers broker..

Question for those who used a buyers broker..

Would you recommend it? Did you have to pay their commision directly or was it included in the price? We are working with a selling agent now who keeps asking us about signing as a buyer's broker. I understand the benifits, but am confused a bit on the way commission is paid, does it vary buy MLS and exclusive or is it case by case? thanks!

We used a buyers broker - we didn't pay any commission. So i'm not sure how that would work.

I loved it - I really felt like she was on our side and worked for US!

I'm not really sure how these things work though...it is a little confusing.

the way it usually works is: of course there are variations (our agent told us if we sold with her that she would charge 1% less - so only 5 %)

the seller pays 6 % of the sale price to the selling agent...and the selling agent gives a potion of that (lets say 2.5%) to the buyers agent...

when its FSBO the seller should pay just the buyers commission
