Question for those who wear contacts...

Question for those who wear contacts...

I've worn contacts since I was 10, but I can't wear them in the shower. They get too dry and stick to my eye. Do you wear them in the shower? Does the dryness bother you? I also sometimes get soap in them then, which is a pain.

I also wear contacts and have been for a long time. I used to shower with them, but I don't anymore b/c of the dryness. I am very very blinde so the shower is tough for me, but I pull it off!

Are your eyes dry during the day as well? I am asking b/c my mother works for an eye doctor and always gets me great drops for dry eye. Let me now if you want to know the name so you can maybe try them.

Thanks, I use Renu mostly, and they make rewetting drops that I use. I don't usually have a problem, except at night if I have been wearing them over 12 hours or so.

The shower is hard--I often cut my legs shaving just because I can't see well enough!

LOL! I can not see well enough either. It is scary sometimes to know that eyes are so bad. Do you sleep with them in?

No...I have the 2 week disposables, but I take them out to sleep. It's scary when I wake up in the middle of the night and can't even see the time on the clock though...

I've been using the focus night and day contacts for about 3 months now, and you keep in the same pair for 30 days and never have to take them out unless of course you want to. i keep them in for usually 2 weeks at a time, take em out for a night and put them back in the next morning... I LOVE THEM!
