Question for Westbury Manor Brides... (or those who have gone to weddings there)

So I went to see my band last night The Projekt at one of their showcases at The Inn at New Hyde Park. They were fabulous, as usual... and one thing they had there was special lighting around the room that shines onto the walls. This was something that I was thinking about doing all along, and now that I saw they can do it, I'm wanting it even more. It looked great there, but I'm wondering how it would look at Westbury. I asked one of the band members, and she agreed that the walls at The Inn make it look great, but that you might not need it at Westbury (their walls are darker and the ceilings are lower)... does anyone have any opinions? I'm kinda torn on what to do... TIA!

I looked at Westbury and the only thing I can say is - are you in the main room? From what I remember, the walls were dark and had paintings hung all over them, so it's not like the lights would be aimed at flat plain surface.

Yes I am, the manor room... so yeah, I can see your point... thanks!

Anyone else have any thoughts? I'm leaning towards no on the lights I think...

hi! you could do lights if you wanted to...but probably not the colored ones. Maybe just a white or a yellow light to highlight the walls. But the manor room only has the mahogany walls on one side...the front and the other side are windows, so i'm not sure if they're lightable. If anything, you could always light the ceilings...which are white!

or if you want to spend the money, you can drape the walls in white fabric, then light the fabric...
