I am getting married 12/12. I am pale to start with. Are any of you tanning for the wedding? I don't want to walk around all orange before the wedding, but I want some color.
What are you doing, what do you recommend?

Re: Question for Winter Brides (Tanning)
I'm naturally pretty pale to begin with, and I don't tan naturally, so spray tan is out, and I won't use tanning beds, so that's out too. I've been using the Jergens Natural Glow lotion most of the summer, and I find that to be a really natural, subtle look. I'm still pale, but I'm not see-through lol.

Re: Question for Winter Brides (Tanning)
I use tanning beds every so often (i know they are bad for you) but yes I do plan on going tanning before my wedding, I will probably go at least 2 times to give me nice color so i'm not sooo pasty white for the wedding

Re: Question for Winter Brides (Tanning)
I'm going to be tanning. 2 of my coworkers go tanning. one tans too much and the other is PERFECT!! So I'm going to stick to the girl's method... I think she goes like once every other week. She has a very nice glow and its not too much. She doens't look orange at all.
the guy on the other hand... he tans like every few days.. and he needs to stop that crap!!! haha!!!
I don't want to be pastey!!

I think we are going to Florida for Thanksgiving, not anywhere super sunny, but I will go tanning around then and then just keep it up, I guess.

Re: Question for Winter Brides (Tanning)
I'm actually really fair (even though I'm 1/2 Puerto Rican, lol). I can tan if I try, but I actually love that porcelain victorian look. Plus I'm not a fan the damage it can do. You may want to try the natural look? Just my suggestion but pale can be beautiful, HTH!

i cant make up my mind..i am VERY pale but really dont want to go to the tanning salon. i may either just go natural and have my photog tan me when she edits the pics or try the airbrush tan

Re: Question for Winter Brides (Tanning)
i plan on going tanning, like starting in october just so i have a glow. also i was going to try the airbrush, my makeup artist does it, so i plan on trying that about two months prior to see how it looks.

Re: Question for Winter Brides (Tanning)
although tanning is terrible for you i do plan on going a few months before my wedding. I was tan (just back from a vacation) when i bought my dress, its in diamond white, so im afraid it wont look as nice on me w/o a tan!
ETA: i know im not a winter bride but still wanted to share my thoughts :)

Re: Question for Winter Brides (Tanning)
I am going to spray tan. If you do research there are spray tans that change your pigment naturally and doesn't just sort of airbrush it on. It's becoming very popular now and alot better than it used to be.

Re: Question for Winter Brides (Tanning)
I have a silly question.....I am very fair. I tan, but it takes alot of work, which i dont have time for. I want to spray tan for my wedding. Tanning beds dont due much for me, I would have to go a lot and for a long time, to get tan, and I dont think that is safe. When I told my SILs I wanted to spray tan, they told me it would come off on my dress. Not to do it. Is that true????
I need some color....my FH is a 'Sicilian Tanning God' and I dont want to look like a ghost near him!!

Not a winter bride, but I do go tanning. I would go to beach bum and use the highest bed. its the most expensive, but gives you the most brown (as opposed to red). go about 2 weeks before the wedding.

Re: Question for Winter Brides (Tanning)
No the spray tan is not going to come off on your dress. You have to go a couple of days before and you will shower. It won't rub off on clothes.
I am just so against tanning beds. I recenetly read an article that they don't only cause skin cancer but have been linked to internal cancers as well. No Tanning beds for me!

I agree, that is the only bed that I use and is by far one of the best that i have ever used, i never get red from using that bed
