Keep in mind I know only a little about baseball......
There is a Yanks/Red Sox game on 9/19 (I think) with the time TBA. Why do they do this & when do they usually announce it? The game is the day we are coming back from our 1st anniversary trip. I'd love to get DH tix for anniversary but would need to know the time before I could get them. Also what are good seats? Are Bleachers good? I know know because of my vision impairment I can't sit on the 1st base line.
HELP! Is it even going to be possible to get tix if I have to wait for the time TBA or should I keep thinking of another idea?

I checked into this for you and sure enough September 19th is a Sunday. More than likely, the game will be the nationally broadcast game on ESPN because of the big rivalry and because the playoffs will be near. This means the game will start around 8 p.m.

It does as long as it would be a night game because that would be perfect.
We will be coming home from the Poconos that day so a night game would be great!
What about seats? Whats good? Knowing what a big game it is about how much should I expect tix to be?

seeing its a big game, you might not have a 'choice' of seats...check whats available..I know when FH and I went to a Yankees/Red Sox game, all there was available at the time was bleacher seats....so we ahd to settle for them...

I agree about the time. Sunday game against the Red Sox will probably be an 8:00 game on ESPN.
As far as tickets go, any seats to a yankee-sox game are good seats. Bleachers are fun, but they are very far from home plate. Have you tried to ge tickets yet because the game might be sold out already? If you're buying tickets through a broker you're going to pay a lot of money. I would try on ebay, you might save some money. I would expect to pay at least $100 a ticket, and that's just for ok seats.

I don't know of this matters to you, but I'm pretty sure they don't sell beer in the bleachers. Those seat are in the outfield and usually have a more rowdy crowd, which can be a lot of fun.

The bleachers? I've sat in the bleachers twice. It's a fun place to sit but as far as seeing goes, you're 400+ ft away from home plate...the bleachers are behind the homerun wall if that helps you. Plus there is no backing to the seats, they are exactly bleachers. Just things to consider. If you see other seats I would try to grab them. What does Yankees.com say is available? I'll tell you what I think your best choice is.

Hard call. They are pretty similar seats. 607 is more of behind home plate, 640 is on the 3rd base line. Both are in the tier box, which is the upper deck. Decent seats, face value is probably $45-50 a ticket. I would go with 607 because you'll get more of a view of the whole field.

No hopefully the game will be at night as everyone said & we can come back from vacation when we planned.
As long as it isn't in the afternoon (1:00ish) we are good.
