Question: If you get invited to a wedding - but dont go....

do you have to invite them to your wedding??

I'm really not close with them - we are declining their invite and sending them a card with a check - i think that we only got invited because they are friends with FH's brother - but does that mean we have to invite them to our wedding now??

We are no way close to them - the last time we saw them as at one of their friends weddings - other than that there would be NO contact between us.

I don't think you're obligated to invite them at all.

I would say you don't have to invite them. I went to quite a few weddings and those people are not on my list.

I'm another NO. But I like the idea of maybe putting them on a B list. Otherwise there's no obligation to invite them and I'm sure they won't be slighted in any way by it.

I don't think if someone invites you to their wedding you are obligated to invite them to yours.

I would say IF you have room and would like to invite them then by all means do but it is not a requirement.

We're going through this now too. We got invited to a wedding and we are saying no. We are not inviting them to our wedding.

I am going through that also! FH has HUNDREDS of friends and has been invited to soooo many of their weddings, children's parties, events, etc!!! If we invited them all to our wedding, we wouldn't be able to afford to invite our families!!!

There is no way you can invite EVERYONE you are 'acquaintances' with. We are limiting it to our 'good friends'. Certain people may go on a b-list though. Good luck!!

I think i was more so surprised that they even invited us because we arent even acquatances......they are going on our B list though...
