I wish I didnt read this post. I was supposed to go back to the gyno a year ago for this...and I avoided it...and now I am going on thursday. I wish they could put me to sleep!!!

My sister just yelled at me for waiting a year! I am such a baby. I am dreading this. They totally should offer anasthesia. LOL. You have to see my face when they do a regular exam.

I waited 8 months. I figured if they said call back to schedule it fin 4 months what's another 4 lol. At least we have each other this week. I'm going tomorrow.. i'll let you know how it goes.

I just had one last week, it wasn't horrible but I was a little cramp afterward, doc said to wait 2 weeks for lovin but we only waited a week nothing horrible happened

My doctor made us wait 3, but we broke around 2. It was St. Patty's day and we were drunk.

As far as the pain, think it depends on how well you deal with pain. It didn't tickle that is for sure. I just stared at the ceiling and thought of other things. At first it wasn't bad but there were a couple of places that took my breath away.

Does it stink, yes, but you have to get it done. The alternative is more painful and frightening.

I had it a while ago and it was not that bad for me but I am weird like that..my sister had it like 2 months ago and cried...it's just a different tolerance..I do remember that for a few days when I went to the bathroom it looks like grayish..I don't know if that grosses you out but it was normal I heard..whatever you do, just breathe through it! Also ask if you could have a nurse there to hold your hand.

I have had to get the leap surgery because my colpscopy came back bad and i had the stage right before cancer

i had the same thing Rita!!! ugh the leep ******...i feel like im the only girl in the world whos had that...so nice to hear im not!! its alot more common than everyone assumes

but ya during the colposcopy i remember coughing...it wasn't TOO bad...they gave me a shot to numb me before, the shot was just a tiny pinch, and i thought that was worse than the coloscopy! it shouldn't be too bad, take advil before, and cough when they do it!!!

SO.....

i went this morning at 10:45 for the procedure. She said that since i didn't go back 3 months ago, when i was supposed to, she did a reg pap and exam and if i need it still then i'll come back for a coloscopy.

ugh!!!!! I was all geared up for it and i gotta wait longer!!
fingers crossed everything is a ok and nothing else is needed.

ugh.. i was so prepared too!!!

ok. i dont get it. if its potentially fine in a few months, why not just do a regular test again before any other procedure did i miss something??

yes I had it done once...

dont be scarred you will be ok

but I will tell you this my best friend took me and I wishhh I made her come in the room with me lol
