Lately everytime I drink alcohol, I get this really bad pains in my lower back. Does anyone get this? It's not like I drank a whole lot. I had maybe 3 vodka tonics. But, usually this pain would happen when I drank A LOT. Now it's happening when I drink less and less. I am freaking out. I am trying to get my Dr. on the phone but the line is busy. Are there any MD's on here or any nurses that know what this could be?

It's like a discomfort. When I lay down, it hurts like hell. On other occasions when I have drank a lot, I'd touch my back and it would hurt a little.

When I drink alcohol I get bad pains in my shoulders.. its unbearable.. I have no idea what it is either.. I usually stick to wine and beer because of it.

Some people said it was an allergy what I have- maybe you have the same thing. When I drink light beer, I don't have this issue. But when it's with hard alcohol, it's pretty bad.

this was happening to me, i went to the doctor and i actually had a kidney infection. i would go over to your doctor as soon as possible. it may not have anything to do with your kidneys, but i would go and have them check it out.

It might be some sort of allergic reaction. Both my father and I went through stages where we could not even have one drink without getting really really hung over. Docs found nothing wrong and we both stopped drinking. After a few years it went away and now we can have a few drinks....I think your body might just be going through something.....talk to your doc though to be safe.

In the morning I am okay- but with pain in my lower back. It hurts most when I lay down. I did make an appointment though. 12PM tomorrow I am going to the Dr.

No, it doesn't. So, it doesn't seem like an infection but I read sometimes it won't burn or anything and you could still have an infection.

I actually had similar paints and mine ended up being a Kidney infection also..
Def. keep your appt with your Dr. Best of luck!! Let us know what it is!
