we met online too ... spoke for about 3 hours a night on the phone for a week before officially meeting in person! the rest is history ...

I met a girl in my tennis class at NCC and she always talked about this guy she was seeing and that he had a younger brother (who she never met but 'seemed really nice').

So I did something I had never done before -- called him out of the blue.

And with a few small bumps, that was it!!!

PS -tsix years later, the girl and his brother are no longer together and we are getting married!!!!

met at the metropolitan opera. we went with a mutual friend to see aida. we had both known her for years and were in the same circle but we had never met before that day.

several months later my friend said to me that he wanted to hang out again. i thought she meant all of us so i said okay. but she actually meant he wanted to hang out with me. so i figured why not. we went out and i didn't really like him at first b/c he was so nice (i was used to jerks). i decided to give him another chance and that was it.

We met 'accidentally'!!

My best friend at the time was seeing this guy who was away for a weekend, when she received a phone call that an old 'guy' friend of hers wanted to come over. She quickly called me in to be her 'wingman'...LOL

Turns out this guy brings one of his friends and it happened to be my FH.....

I would have never guessed that we would be together for 7 years b/c he barely even spok to me that night, he just asked for my number!! LOL

We've been together even since.

We met in high school at Holy Trinity. We met in 10th grade and we started dating a week after graduation.

When we were little kids (1st grade) we actually lived a block away from one another!

As corny as this may sound...we were introduced by my FH's cousin who I've known since I was 16. I had been single for a couple of years...and he was single as well. He was skeptical about being 'set up'...because he wasn't sure what he was in for. So arrangements were made for us to meet at a bowling alley...since his cousin and my best friend bowled in a league and I would hang out there. He told me he didn't see my picture until 5 minutes before he left..and said 'hmmm ok'. I still think he was crazy for initially coming w/out looking to see what I looked like first!! Anywho...he came to the alley...and didn't speak a word.. only 'Hello'. So.. when the league was over we hung out at the bar for a few..and were all talking amongst each other..but not directly. Still..no word from him. I pulled his cousin aside and said what is up with him??? Turns out he was shy....HMMPH! So...to get the ball rolling...I left my number with his cousin..and low and behold ...he called me that night at Midnight. Of course I didn't pick up..even though I was awake. I was skeptical at first because he was a cop and I had heard so many stories about them being womanizers, players, cocky......but I have to say..he's one of a kind, and was not like that AT ALL!! In fact...he's the complete opposite. Although he is younger than I am...he is the most MATURE man I have ever met. (and I'm not just saying that because I'm marrying him lol. He really is!! ) And now we are getting married

And to add to that...my FH and 'Soon2becopswife's husband work together!! What a SMALL world!!!

question..if you don't liek what you get..do they offer a refund??? just kidding....but wouldn't it be great? lol

We met at College we both played lacrosse and he was following me around all night because I was getting free drinks from the bartender!!

hahahaha that would be great. they do give you a gift from tiffany when you get marrried though!!!

I met FH @ McDonald's afterschool. My Friend Erica was waiting for the guy she was dating. When he came to pick her up. I noticed he was not alone. And It was love at first site. lololololol.
We basically hit it off!!!

I work with his sister. She kept telling me that I would be perfect with her brother but both of us resisted for about a year. We finally gave in and met and the rest is history!

These stories are great - keep them coming. I am trying to talk my friend into online dating and these stories might help!

I use to work for Sephora and a crazy guy came after me after I told him to leave the store because he was trying to steal. The crazy guy got away before the cops got there, but he decided to come back a few weeks later.

I called the cops and my DH's sergeant showed up. Since Sephora is full of girls, he called my DH and told him 'get over here, there are girls everywhere'. At the time I had a BF, so I wasn't that in to him. Well, now every time i would call the cops, my DH would show up. Coincidence? I think not!!

We ended up together a year later and 3 arrests later......

My brother introduced us (he was a friend of his) my brother always told me I was not aloud to date any of his friends but this time he made an exception...

an acquaintance thought I would like her friend 'P' and that one of my friends would like this other guy Terry. So we arranged a group get-together. Terry said hi to me and we talked non-stop for the next 3 hours. We've been inseparable ever since!

ETA: The acquaintance made a point of convincing us to come to the get-together because she said she had introduced a bunch of people who had ended up getting married.......that she had a knack for these things!
