I don't think anyone posted anything...so I figured I'd start it up...
During this whole process of wedding planning, whats the one thing you would change if you could?
For me it would definately be to have a shorter engagement..We've been engaged for a year and 8 months (it will be alittle over 2 when we get married). I just want to be married already!! Im so sick of waiting! I've been ready for months!!!!!! and it also bothers me to have friends who got married before us..when they were engaged after us!!

Re: Question of the day
i would have gone with our original plan and paid for our immediate family to fly to PR or bahamas and gotten married there.
i so did NOT want a traditional wedding; it was just easier for everyone else so we did it locally.

Re: Question of the day
I wish I could go back and change the process of how I went about doing the bridesmaid dresses. I have 12 girls, so it's a bit chaotic, and I think I was trying to be too nice and cater to their schedules and needs. Things have worked out now, and we're in the process of getting everyone measured for the dresses. But I guess I wish I was more firm and just sort of dictated what we were doing rather than trying to open it up for discussion - cause that just doesn't work when you have 12 girls, haha.

Re: Question of the day
tried to save a little more money so we could put some towards our wedding and the rest towards the down payment of our co-op.

Re: Question of the day
I have had my wedding already, but the one thing I would change is taking care of the little details a little earlier, such as placecards and wrapping gifts. We were running around like crazy the day before the wedding and both of us got sick. Didn't count on the little things adding up, and we were definitely ahead of time with the big things.

Re: Question of the day
i wish we did a shorter engagnment also. I am the last of my best friends and my sisters and i feel like no one cares or wants to do anymore planning. Plus FH and were the first to get engaged in his family then 2 cousins followed. one is getting married this month, jumpeed right in there, and the other 3 weeks after us. I am happy for them but now its like tough in his family.

when we got engaged (feb 07) i wanted to get married dec 07, and thought waiting until may 08 would be forever. But the time has gone sooo fast, and in retrospect I'm glad we waited.

Re: Question of the day
as of now I don't think I'd change anything. For a while I was thinking we were going to be engaged too long (close to 2 years by Day of) but I'm glad we decided to do it this way, save more money and have more time to plan and really think things through instead of rushing.
And the long engagement doesn't bother us. We've known each other almost 12 years. Why rush into marriage?

Re: Question of the day
I think i would have did more research when it came to photographers. I don't know if i really like my photographer but they were very affordable.Hoprefully everything turns out fine.
I also would have put more thought into to dress shopping. I ended buying two

' very true!!! but your definately right..the long engagement and me living with my parents (i still don't live with fh ) made us able to buy a house!!! we are thrilled to be young homeowners..especially because of what a great investment it really is
