We met at the Whale's Tale in Long Beach...he tried to steal some songs from me at the juke box, and we ended up talking for close to an hour...he went to get a beer and i went to go to the bathroom..on my way back over my friend (best friends now husband) was teasing me for wearing a chain wallet and pulled on it. i fell on his lap and gave him a big hug, then went back over to find FH. He was gone!!! I saw one of his friends and asked where he was...said he left and was walking down the block to another bar. i don't know what came over me, because i never would have done this before, but i ran outside and yelled his name down the street. He came back and i was like '*** we talk for an hour and you don't even ask for my number'? He said he thought he saw me sitting on my boyfriends lap so he figured i wasn't interested. I told him to ask for my number, he did and called me the very next day....the rest is history!

Hes my brothers friend!!! My brother is 9 years older than me, and when he got married 4 years ago, FH was there. All of my brothers friends remember me as the bratty little kid that followed him around and were shocked to see me all grown up, FH included. A few months later, I ran into him at the local bar where I invited him to my b-day party. He didn't show up cause his friend bailed on him last minute. We talked for about 6 months before he FINALLY made a move on me!

He was actually an aquaintance of my ex-bf. He was with someone, I was with someone. He said he knew when he saw me that he was going to marry me. It took 3 years, but we eventually wound up together!

We met at Lily Flanagans in Islip. I knew his nephew (we have a mutual friend) I went up to his nephew to say hi and he couldn't remember my name. Dh's nephew turns around to his gf and dh and said to give him names with the letter A. First name out of dh's mouth was April. We've been together since.

well first i'll say that even before i met Dh and we started talking, i always knew who he was. We grew up 2 blocks away from eachother(although i didnt always know and meanwhile i had a crush on him for years before) and he also worked at this italian restaurant while he was in college doing the deliveries. So for 3 years he delivered to me alot. Plus i would see him out alot, but usually when i saw him i was with my bf at the time and they knew eachother, not good friends but acquaintances
The night we did meet. I went to a local club with a friend. My friend had wanted to go over to a certain area to say hi to some people but i didnt want to go bc my ex was right there. After waiting a while for her i went over to get her but as soon as i got there i decided to stay when i saw who she was talking to. It was dh and his friends. The 2 friends he was with were both ex's of friends of mine so i knew them and was talking to them and hanging out with them for a while. Then i was just standing there and dh came up to me and asked if i wanted to go to the bar to get a drink. So we went to the bar alone and ended up talking for the rest of the night. We stayed until the club closed and were walking out together along with our friends. He said he'll walk me to my car and his friends pulled my friend and said let them walk we'll drive you to denise's car. While we waited for his friends to come get him, my friend called and asked if i mind that i drive DH home and his friends will drive her home. We ended up driving around for a while talking, took him home and he called the next day and the rest is history.

I met him on a Thursday night volleyball night at the Inn in Long Beach, i walked into the bar and saw this adorable guy in a red hat in the corner of the bar and than notice his gfriend as well...so kept on moving. They ended up sitting right next to me with a bunch of people and he was trying to push his friend on me. I left that night and thought that was it. I went the following thursday night to Minnisotas in Long Beach and he was there, he waved from across the bar came over to talk to me, I told him i knew he had a gfriend of which he proceeded to tell me how bad the relationship was (in my head I thought blah blah blah) it turns out it really was a bad situation and than 4 months later after just being friends we finally were able to be together.

We both met at Kohl's. We worked there together. It started off making eye contact and smiling. Then I would make sure I looked good for work. He worked in the mens department and I worked register. I knew he was something special. I get butterflys just thinking about it!

We met when we were 15. I had dated one of his friends but had remained friends with him and we met through that friend. I had a boyfriend at the time, plus I thought FH was a bit conceited, lol. Three years later we were both at a party thrown by a mutual friend. I offered to drive him home at the end of the night and we started dating maybe a week later.

We met through another guy i was talking to It was my freshman year of College and i met this guy and we were not serious or anything, just talking Anyway, he kept on telling me how i have to meet his friend Nick and what a funny guy he was. Well we finally met and became friends. At this point it was summer and the guy i was talking to became shady so I would go to nick and ***** and moan about his friend.... fast forward to Sept. 11 (Nick is a volunteer firefighter so he went down to help that night) anyway, i was so nervous thinking about him and he called me and said 'Just remember that i made this phone call to you' (at that time we all still didnt know what can happen) He was down at ground zero for like 3 days and finally came home and i was so happy to see him. It took him a while to build up the nerve... he even asked his friend (the guy i was talking to ) if it was cool with him if he would ask me out and then on Oct 17 he finally did..... here i am almost 7 years later and i still get all happy telling this story.
FH always tells everyone how he broke the guy rule by asking me out, but always says that it was a rule that was meant to be broken and obv. so worth it....
FYI we both dont talk to that guy anymore

My best friend was dating his best friend and they decided to set us up. We worked out perfectly, they broke up (very messy) a year ago (after 4yrs of dating). They are both in our bridal party - should be interesting!

WE were friends on a Diasney message board. He gf cheated on him and so I helped him through that -m that's when we really started talking. A few weeks after he went to Disneyland w/her (I lived in California) they'd planned the trip when they were together, and he said he almost bailed out but decided not to. We met and the attraction was there and he hung out w/me the entire time he was there

We met at our old job, but we weren't friends right away. About 2 years after I started working there (he was already there) we became friends with the same group of people who always went to happy hour together. He had a long-term gf at the time so I wasn't interested at all! But we decided to 'carpool' to that year's Christmas party and we ended up talking the whole night. About a month later, he finally broke up w/ his gf and a month after THAT, we had our first date. Later on, he told me that he had wanted to kiss me the night of the Christmas party, but he was still in his relationship. What a guy!!
