On our 6 month dating anniversary, FH gave me a white gold heart pendant w/ little diamonds.. I LOVED IT!!!
Three months later, I lost it in Penn Sta or on the LIRR, don't even know how it happened. When I realized I lost it, I was heartbroken, cried for an hour I was so upset... even weeks after when I thought about it I would get all upset again.
Christmas Eve, In our family we have a tradition, before we go to midnight mass we open on small gift.. guess what my gift was?
I was soo happy.. I cried all over again...It's not the most romantic thing I know, but the fact that he knew how much it meant to me, and how much I loved it, I wore it everyday..it was like my ring, before the ring..lol I still wear it everyday

Re: Question of the Night
It's not neccesarily 'romantic' because he is not, but I love him anyway....Well on our anniversary last year, he set the table...lit candles( weird ones, liek the bathroom candle etc..(its the thought that counts) He bough 'Chicken Tonight' our fav junk food...made me coffee( I cannot even say hi, how was your day after work without my cup of coffee) and it was sweet to me he knew what I would want....The fact that the man knows how I like my coffee is probably the reason Im marrying him...LOL!

Re: Question of the Night
FH is very romantic. I would say once a money he gets me flowers for no reason. Last month was our 1 year anniversary and he hid about 40 'I love you' on paper all over the house where he knew I would look.. I still haven't found 4 of them. He is so sweet!

Re: Question of the Night
My FH is def not the romantic type. We were watching 'Muriel's wedding' the other night and I embarrassingly admitted one of my favorite songs was 'dancing queen' by abba. He made fun of me for a good hour. The very next day he bought me Abba's greatest hits gold edition. He loves the fact that Im so corny!!
I would have to say that one time we got into a fight and then he was working nights. So when I woke up in the morning he was sleeping next to me and I was still mad. But when I opened the bedroom door, there were roses in each spot that I go to during my morning routine. In the toothbrush holder, near my cell phone, by the dog's leash, etc. He was totally forgiven.

Re: Question of the Night
My FI is definitely a romantic!
After dating for a few months, I went on a business trip for a few days. When I came back to my apt (we weren't living together yet), I walked in and there were about 15 different arrangements of flowers throughout the apt - roses, wildflowers, tulips, sunflowers, orchids, etc...and my bed was covered in rose petals, chocolates and a teddy bear!!

Awww How sweet!
And Diane!!! The dog leash!!!! What a surprise!!!!
Pat made me a sign to heer me up with my name on it. He also bought me sparklers when we went camping because he knows how much I love them and want to incorporate them into our wedding and even though it might not work, I still have 100 of them to play with alone!!

Re: Question of the Night
on our first anniversary he snuck into my dorm room with the help of my roomate, set up a dozen heart shaped balloons and tied chocolate covered cherries (MY FAVORITE!!) to the bottoms of them as weights.
when i came home, i walked into a room full of baloons, and he was holding a dozen roses, and told me that i had a present and it was tied to one of the baloons and that i had to find it...
anyways, he had gotten me a heart shaped diamond necklace that says i love you on the back
and we spent the night in my room and had a picnic with sparkling cider!!
i just love my fh
here's a funny pic! don't mind the miss saigon on the side...i double exposed my film lol
It may not seem like the most romantic (there have been many others from FH) but the one that I like the most is our engagement. He picked up the ring at the jeweler which happened to be down the street from my job. He used to bring me coffee when he got off from work then (works overnights now and can't). So he went and got my coffee and came to my job. I work in retail so I was standing at the end of the counter. He gave me my coffee and got down on one knee and proposed right then. :) It was especially sweet because when he picked me up at work later he brought me roses and appologized, he wanted to propose at dinner but he couldn't wait!

Re: Question of the Night
MY FH isn't the baking-type, and didn't even own things like a beater or cake pan before we met. But three months into dating, he surprised me on my birthday. I hate to work on my birthday, but I had to go into the office anyway. When I got in, there was a giant cake on my desk - white cake with chocolate icing, a favorite - and a fake candle that plays birthday music. At first, I suspected my boss had baked the cake because I knew my FH didn't really cook! But when I mentioned it to her, I realized it wasn't her and then a big smile crept on my face. Jon works in my building and had brought the cake in before I got there. I was touched!
Then, that Valentine's Day, he surprised me again by learning how to make chocolate covered strawberries - my absolute favorite. He had more than a dozen waiting for me and also champagne when I showed up at his house that evening.
I love the fact that he made the effort to learn to make some of my favorite foods!

I have always liked them, but Josh gave them special meaning.

Re: Question of the Night
Such a simple thing but I love how he calls me every morning after I get to work to tell me he loves me, that he misses me and how beautiful I am...It always brightens my day!
