question on e-party thank yous and STD's

ok so we are mailing out our e-party thank you's and STD's in the same envelope.

Now how does the label get addressed???

because it was a backyard party, i invited family kids. for the wedding its only kids over 18 are invited. All kids over 18 received their own e-party invite- but the gifts were 'from the family' so the thank you is 'to the famliy'

so the thank you is to the family but the STD is really only for the adults.

when i address the label- do i address the same way as the e-party invites:

Mr & Mrs so and so and family

or just Mr. & Mrs so and so

do you think people will remember how the STD was addressed if i write and family?

Address the envelopes just to the adults.

If you want to include the entire family on the thank you's, I don't think anyone is going to say (come the time of wedding invites) that they thought their kid was invited because he was included on the STD.
