I was given a price of 125 for my wedding day JUST to get my hair done. That's not including make up. Make up I am going to have to have someone else come do, b/c the hair lady strictly does hair.
I thought this price was a little high. Is this the going rate? She would be coming to my mother's house the day of and she is not charging a travel fee b/c she is not far away. What do you girls think about this? Also, how much does the make up cost for the day of?

I am going to go to Maximus (the one in Merrick but they have a location at the source mall too). They start at $95 for hair and $75 for make-up. Of course, I have to go to them though.
(The reason I choose them is because I looked around and they seemed to be cheapest for my BM. $75 for hair and $50 for make-up)

I think 125 is very reasonable for someone coming to your house. I know people pay a lot more.
I think that $125 is fair to come to you day of the wedding.

I am paying $100 each for my hair & make-up. The price drops to $80 each if I have 4 or more people getting stuff done as well...

My cousin just got married and we all used seperate local hairdressers..a few of us went together, but not all of us. We used the same lady that I used at my wedding. i need to have ppl come to the house, too. That will drive up the price. I'm paying $150 for makeup and I think $125 for hair.

I paid 300.00 for both hair and make up-- the gilrs were 75.00 for hair and 75.0 for make up

$125 sounds about right...the problem is that the minute you tell someone you need their services for a wedding, the price jumps! i should have told all my vendors it was my birthday party and see what prices they give me!

$125 is completely reasonable imo - it has to be worth the person's time to come to your home.

That's what I'm paying for my hair on the day of my wedding b/c my salon is opening 3-4 hours early just for me and my bridal party. I love what the owner did to my hair, so I'm willing to pay it!
