What should I be asking when I call for room blocks besides price?
My biggest concern is if I'm liable for unbooked rooms..
Thanks!

I would ask about shuttle services too. They were free with my room block! Also ask if you get a free room or any upgrades.

Re: Question on Room Blocks
I would find out the following:
- price per night -is a shuttle included, or if not included do they work with a company that you can book through? -Do they include your bridal suite? Is there a minimum number of rooms that have to be booked to include your suite? -Does it include a breakfast? If not how much would a breakfast be

Re: Question on Room Blocks
Your RH probably should have told you where they have a contract with. I called mine and other locals and the one my RH works with seemed to have the best price.

You do not have to go with one of the preferred vendors for hotels. Just because they are a preferred vendor does not mean that you are going to get the best deal. In most cases a company gets on the list by paying the rehersal hall to be on it!

Re: Question on Room Blocks
Actually, my RH has an Inn as well, but I'm not staying there - I'm getting ready in another hotel and staying there 2 nights. I'm going to call the RH's Inn to block a few rooms in case they want to stay there, and also block rooms at the hotel I am staying at. Our guests will have a choice..
I kept going back and forth with the idea of staying at the Inn where I am getting married, but I need the room for both Friday and Saturday night (my wedding is Saturday) and I just didn't feel I wanted to be on the RH grounds ALL weekend....i thought it would be less stressful if I'm away from it and getting ready. It's just my preference
