Question on setting up Centerpieces...

For those of you that DIY... or had someone make them. Did you set them up the night before/few hours before? your wedding?

I'm confused now that I'm thinking about this. A friend of mine is making ours and I don't know if I leave them with the RH to set them up? I guess I'll just contact them.....but what did you do?

Good question. I made my CP already. Im using silk flowers in vases and dropping them off the week before. Im sure you can have your MOH or BM drop it off for you the morning of or the wedding. I did it the bride of the last wedding I was in.

i didn't make my CPs, but i did give the RH things to put on the tables. I'd assume that you would drop the CPs off just like you do with all your other 'stuff' - cardbox, guestbook, etc. Then you'd just have to coordinate who gets to set it up and what time they will allow someone in the room to do it. Sometimes at the bigger RHs, there might even be an event in your room up to an hour before your reception. my flowers were placed on the tables about 20 minutes before my guests walked in.

if you have a DOC, you can have them do it.

My RH is setting them up, but I also have a DOC to make sure they are correct. I have table runners, crystal trees, votives and Cylinder floating candles! I have so many other DIY items that I will drop off 10 days before my day. I plan on taking pics of how I want things set up and giving it to them. HTH

I have some DIY stuff that will be part of our centerpieces as well and I plan to do exactly what you are doing haha... take pictures of how I want them set up! We're going to individually box every thing with the table number on the box w/the picture attached. The nice thing is, we're allowed at RH an hour before cocktail starts, so I or my Mother can check it out ahead of time! :)

Thanks ladies. Very helpful..

I'm wondering if there is a wedding before mine, or night before. I'll just wait a bit and talk to the RH ..thanks!

Do the RH's usually provide tea candles? Just curious...
