Our place charged us a $300 Maitre D' fee. How would you go about tipping him/her, if you would tip him at all. Do most places charge a Maitre D' fee?

i wasnt charged a fee but they recommended a tip of between 300 -500

I would think that the $300 fee is the tip but you could always call and ask them.

but I think they suggest a tip of $2-5 per person...

RLS: I think it is the tip. I guess it is customary to tip $2 or $3 per guest. I guess I can just subtract the Maitre D fee from that total and give that to him at the end of the night. Thanks for putting me a little more at ease.
