Question only a B2B can answer...

Question only a B2B can answer...

I just got invited to a former- colleague's wedding.

She is staying at the hotel that I stayed at for my wedding. She also has her rooms blocked there.

When I got marrried last year, I gave her a synopsis of the horrifying experiences with the hotel, but I never mentioned it by name.

Now, she is using it.

Do I tell her how bad they were? (to summarize: they wouldn't honor our comp rooms until my mom got a copy of my contract, the pipes burst in my suite and they had me up half the night moving to another room, they double billed multiple rooms for 1 order of roomservice, they tried to overcharge guests for the room, but luckily, I was staying in th same hotel, so I was able to straighten things out...I can go on forever...they were HORRIBLE)

In all honesty, I don't feel any sense of obligation to help her out, considering she never even sent in the RSVP card for my wedding. And, I know I was on her B-list (I received the invite today and the RSVP deadline is in 11 days)

thoughts?

I agree even though I believe you are in a no win situation. My fingers are crossed! By the way...what hotel? I haven't blocked my rooms yet.

It's in NJ. It's very beautiful, which is why everyone falls in love with it, but the service is HORRIBLE. FM for more details, or, it's in my wedding review on Bride's review, so you can see it there

I wouldn't say anything. There are some things that happened to you that aren't common occurrances, and that happend to you unfortunately due to freak of nature - pipe bursting - that isn't a reflection of the hotel everyday.

don't say anything. Its not your place to

I wouldn't say anything. People like advice (sometimes) before they make a decision, but after they make a decision, they may feel very defensive towards unsolicited advice. JMHO. I guess I wouldn't stay there, though, either.

I wouldn't say anything. Chances are people have already booked rooms. Let her work out the kinks if something does go wrong.

I think it is too late to change things, mso no need to instill fears in her mind . . .

honestly, i think if it were me- i would say something just so she knows what to expect
bad experiences stink but can turn positive to when helping someone else

Re: Question only a B2B can answer...

I wouldn't for a couple of reasons:

If you are not close to her, then I wouldn't say anything to her and t's too late for her to do anything about it now. She might take the advice in the wrong way... It would be different if you heard her saying she was considering using that hotel, then at that time you could have told her...but now since she sent out all the info and she won't be able to do anything about it, I wouldn't say anything...JMO

I wouldn't say anything. It's too late to change now and it would stress her out even more.

Ugh, thats a tough one. Since it is too soon to change it, I vote not to tell her. It will only stress her out.
