Question re: Bachelorette Party

Hi girls,

I have a question about planning bachelorette parties. Who usually plans it? Is it okay for the bride to plan it? Who pays for it? (I don't have a bridal party, but I'd still like to go to Las Vegas or Miami with my close friends...)

TIA!

well it depends everyone does it differently...usually the MOH plans it along with the bp. Many times the bp chips in but you can contribute its up to you. It's funny bc yesterday and today has been revolved around bachelorette/bachelor party and fh and i both will contribute...fh is going to vegas and i think hes paying for himself and also gonna pay for his brother...i have stayed out of the planning but then yesterday i came up with a plan and i want to pay for the suite in vegas and the girls just have to worry about airfare this way.

we are going to AC as a joint bachelor/bachelorette party....FH and I are paying for the suites. They have to chip in for limos and partying.

im actually doing 2. im going away w/7 BMs. for that i am paying for myself. i would NEVER expect or even accept anyone to pay for me. then i m going to party in the city. ya know with the whole limo and club and all. for that i dont plan and if my sister does it like i did hers i dont think i will pay for llimo or admission to a club. but i wouldnt care if i had to...im very easy going so whatever they want is fine with me.

Hmm...that's a great idea! So you're just getting a suite for all of the girls to stay in?

I might poach that idea, if you don't mind.

Re: Question re: Bachelorette Party

I planned it only because it was easier in my situation but from experience BP usually does it. My man of honor is helping me plan and he, one of my bm is going and paying along with the few other people who are invited for the hotel room. (we are all crashing in one room) I am driving and paying gas and tolls and everyone is chipping in for drinks and food for me. We are doing AC for one night.

as much as i'd love to take a little trip with all my BMs i think we are doing something low key in the city.

anyone can plan it, i'd discuss it with your MOH.
