I just went to refill my Ortho Cyclen and the pharmacy gave me the generic brand, Mono Nessa. Has anyone ever taken this? Is it exactly the same as Ortho Cyclen? I'm nervous to switch b/c my body is so used to Ortho Cyclen. I called my dr. but no one is in until Monday and I need to start a new pack tomorrow. What should I do????

Re: Question RE: Birth Control
Although I'm on a different BC pill (Ortho Novum), I was switched to the generic version like you were and the only difference I found was in my wallet. I save a lot of money. But there was no difference in the way my body responds to the pill. But every one is different. I would start the new pack tomorrow but call your doctor on Monday.

Re: Question RE: Birth Control
I take Ortho Trycyclen as well. My doc told me they were switching to the generic this month. She said it was the basically the same. She said it shouldn't make a difference but some women do get some fo the common symptoms that come along with switching pills (such as bleeding or moodiness). She said to keep taking it as normal and not worry at all.
