How far before your wedding did you meet with your church music director and did your FH go with you?

We are going over the music about an hour before the rehersal...and YES my FH is going to be there...why should I have to suffer alone

We called the musical dir. at our church and he asked us to meet him after a mass within a week, so we scheduled a day. We met afterwards. I told him what I liked, and he played it on the organ and sang the songs, plus gave us suggestions on things we weren't sure of. All in all, took 15 minutes.
We did this about a month before b/c the singer needed time to prepare the songs as some of them are duets, etc.

Thanks! It's hard to get me and FH in the same place at a time when a person would like to meet us Since we don't live there and I work M-F during the day and he works well, whenever he can, it's making meetings that we both have to attend a bit difficult! We're meeting with the hall in a couple of weeks so I'll see if I can meet with the music director then.

We just had our priest pick because I didn't really care about the music as long as they didn't play 'Here comes the bride'. Our music was picked out about a month before the wedding so we could print the programs.
