thinking of having wedding at Swan Club but i'm hearing some VERY mixed things about the food. I like the grounds of swan club but food is going to be an important determining factor. If you have been there before, please let me know.
also, food tastings are 12:00-2:00, tuesday through friday, which makes tastings EXTREMELY difficult to get to. makes me wonder if they do that on purpose!

everytime ive eaten there (2 showcases and 1 lunch), i thought the food was very good.... food is subjective so you are going to get diff opinions... if you cant make it for the 'tasting' just go to dinner there one night and try it out.... they dont have to know you're considering booking with them... it'll be like a 'spy tasting'... it wont be free but who cares... if you're like us, we go to out to dinner all the time anyways

Re: Question re: food
Actually. FH and I are heading there next Wednesday @ 11:30 am. I have already met with BM Jordana, but FH is now getting involved since I have presented my final list of RH's. We are also going to get lunch, too.
I have been to a wedding @ the SC and my brother has been for an annual X-mas party. From what I remember and what my brother tells me the food is good.
Just in general, when people tell me that food is good, I usually don't believe it until I try it myself. I have already had experiences where people told me that the food is good, but doesn't taste that good to me.
Now that being said, you would really have to taste it for yourself to be the judge.

Re: Question re: food
We ahd the same thing when we were considering having our wedding there. Girls on here rave about the food, but then we had a couple family members tell us they didn't care for it when they have been there. So we didn't know what to think either. Now I hear mixed things about where we did our wedding, but all my guests said they food was excellent and we thought it was great. I think no matter what you will hear mixed things.

Re: Question re: food
I've never been to the Swan Club but it's your opinion that matters the most about this factor. DH (FH then) and I are also picky about food and knew it would be a determining factor in our RH. We booked a date w/LE but had them write in our contract that we could get our total deposit back and cancel the date within 24 hours of the tasting if we were not happy. If you love everything else about the Swan Club and just aren't sure about the food, I would do that. Then if you are not happy you can try it risk-free...not sure about the restaurant though bec I know in other RHs that also have restaurants, that there are different chefs for the RH and for the restaurant- so I would ask first about that. Even though the tasting is at an inconvenient time, I would try to make the time to go during an official tasting, especially since you stated that the food is important to you and FH GL

Re: Question re: food
I have been there a few times and I think the food really depends on two things your personal taste and the items the bride and groom choose. That being said I have never had any bad food at the swan club just better food on one occassion than the others.
