We had a plumber come over on Sat b/c of a frozen pipe (i.e. no heat upstairs!- but that's another story) and he was saying that we should get a water purifier installed in the house b/c we live close (we're in Bethpage) to where Grumann used to be and there are lots of women getting breast cancer in my area. Has anyone heard of this???? I mean I've heard of high incidence of b-cancer on L.I. but I feel like this guy was just trying to sell us the $350 system. What do you think?

What he happens to say is VERY true..
There are cancer clusters in LI..

My DH got the bottled water set up for us for that very reason. He's a firm believer that that's part of the problem. We dont live in Bethpage but my brother does and they have one too.
