My mom is deciding where she should sit for the wedding. Does the mother of the bride sit with her family members or her friends. I am asking for her because I need to make up the tables and she is making me crazy!!!!

My parents are divorced, so my Mom sat with her sister & family & my Grandma. I don't have any siblings or I would have sat her with them. Mom's family is huge so she sat on the 'brides side' with all of them. My Dad & family had a seperate table on the 'grooms side', his family is small & so is Hubby's. I think you should decide for her if it is easier for you, letting my Mom make choices was a nightmare during table arrangements.

My parents will probably sit with friends. Dad is an only child, and my one Uncle and his children can fill up their own table.

It's really where ever you want them too. Usually it's with family but it's your wedding.

Mine will sit with family. But it's really a personal preference, so you can have her sit whever she wants.

Each set of my parents (mom/stepdad, dad/stepmom) sat with their friends. I gave them both the choice and that's what they decided. My husband's parents sat with close family and friends.

The reason I am giving her a hard time is because she has relatives that are coming from California and Florida and I think the right thing to do is to sit with them but she wants to sit with her friends. I am going to not worry about it and let her sit wherever she wants at this point, it is her family!
