question regarding final payment

Did everyone have to pay their final payment the week before the wedding in cash only?

That seems so shady that they only except cash.

yes, cash... I think it's because they don't want the chance of a bounced check right before or after a wedding. And my rh didn't accept credit cards from the beginning.

Well cash is the only 'guaranteed' money. Checks could bounce, so they do this to protect themselves. This goes for pretty much all vendors. At the end of the day, they need their money.

cash or cert check. I think they want to makwe sure a personal check doesnt bounce or a cc pmt get declined.

All my vendors want cash the day of the wedding. If we choose to pay our photographer beforehand it's okay to give a check. I wouldn't dare pay everyone in full before the wedding except the photographer because I have another payment to go! I have heard of horror stories of vendors not showing up!!!!!

The day of the wedding all it is, is the DJ, the Photographer, flowers, and tips.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, most photographers expect the balance at the time the proofs are ready.

My photographer wants the majority of their money the day of, but there is still a balance left over for when the proofs are ready. I wouldn't pay them everything the day of...

i think we are paying JT off in sept by a check (we pay every other month by check but we pay a lot more than the minimum on purpose so it gets paid off before the wedding) - but if we go over our minimum i think we have to pay that in cash - im hoping we dont go over! that way we dont owe anything extra and its paid off i dont want to be under by too much but at least we wont owe - so im keeping my fingers crossed!
