I am starting to prepare my place cards. What is the proper way to list couples who are not married.... do you put the man's name first always or does it depend which guest has relationship with the bride/groom? If you are supposed to put the man's name first, is that the name you should alphabetize it by when displaying?

Re: Question regarding place card etiquette
we used a different layout, so we mixed things up. our placecards had the last name bigger and in bold --- after thinking about it for a while we decided that if we're inviting a friend who has a SO, we'd put the friends name in bold because that's probably the name they would be looking for. the non-bold name was listed first.
Those look great! And I LOVE the linen paper... my place cards are linen and I love the way they look.

Re: Question regarding place card etiquette
I believe it is who you know better or if you know both equally, the woman's name first. please be sure to have the SO's last name.. it is so much nicer!
