Question regarding your STD...

Hi everyone!!

Okay, does your STD have to reflect the colors of your wedding? The reason I ask is that I am not 100% sure of my wedding colors yet. And there have been a whole bunch of STD samples that I really like, but are far from the colors I would want in my wedding.

I don't think they HAVE to. I did with mine for two reasons:

a) I fell in LOVE with the STD that I picked
b) it just happened to match my colors

Chances are I fell in love with it BECAUSE it matched my colors and general ideas

But again, like everything else, it's yours, so you do what you want with it

i knew my colors from the get go,so my STD is in my colors...

however, i dont think it has to be...

if ur worried about ppl assuming colors in ur STD are going to be ur wedding colors, either pick one with a picture, so the colors aren't the main focus, or use neutral colors....like black with white writing and a photo, or something like that

From what I've read a lot of the times the STDs are in a completely different vein than the rest of the invitations and stuff. I am taking it as an opportunity to do something fun and way less formal.

But as with everything, there is no 'has to' be a certain way...its your wedding, do what you like!!

Mine were black and white. We are having Fuschia Black and White for the wedding. but in no way did we chose the STD in black in white for that reason we just liked them.

Mine do, but thats because I've had the color scheme and theme picked since the beginning

I matched the colors of our picture on the STD with the colors in the design of the STD - just ordered them last week and hope to get them in w/in the next few days!!

BTW - I also don't have a clue what colors I am going to use for the wedding (I think purple though)...and I didn't use purple in the STD. I went with more of a fun/cute vibe with the STD. Will upload them once I get them in!

nope my wedding color is blue.. i just thought my STDs were cute (its my avatar).. i don't even think our invites are going to reflect our wedding colors either! lol
