Question to Jewish Brides?

If you want to have a jewish wedding for the sake of keeping your parents happy, is there any way to have a rabbi marry you during shabbos? Are there some 'super reform' rabbis that will perform the ceremony? Just wondering if a Saturday day wedding is totally out of the question?

I know that some of the catering halls are in kahootz with some shady 'rabbis' that will do this. But be warned, just the fact that its on a Saturday afternoon will be enough for anyone to realize that it is fake, and I don't know how your parents will feel about that. Check with your hall.

I agree with Taraalissa. I'm going to an interfaith wedding on a Saturday afternoon, but I think that they are using a judge. I have never heard of a rabbi who would preform a wedding on a Saturday afternoon. Even if you did find a 'super reform' rabbi, unless the rabbi is retired, she/he will be conducting services at their temple (services are usually from 9:00am or 10:30am- 1:00pm ish).
