Question w/ poll..

So with everything i have going on right now. I've decided to get a tattoo.

A cross about an inch and a half big on my wrist (kinda on the side, but almost on the underside of it)

nothing big obviously. I think it will help me stay calm. whenever i get upset i can just look down at my wrist and remember that everything happens for a reason and everything will be ok in the long run.

My mom actually said i could do it. But would rather i do it after the wedding. But that would pretty much defeat the point. I want to do this like next week..

What do you think?

ETA- pic of the one i decided i want. Only higer and more to the side.

I say go for it because in the long run you might regret not doing it. I love tattoes and I think they really represent who you are.

I have two tattoos. One I got the day I turned 18. It is a huge tribal tattoo on my lower back. I see it so infrequently that I smile when I see it. The other I got on my little sister's 18th birthday. She wanted to do something special... lets get tattoos. Let's get a tattoo of three flowers for the three of us, she says (me, her and our older sister). Regina, my oldest sister goes, no problem. I get mine, no problem. It's time for Gloria to get hers... guys I don't think I want one. Now the two of us have tattoos for her birthday on our ankles. I like tattoos but I'd never again get one in a place people see regularly. It gets too many questions, comments etc. I should also say that I teach 7th grade so I should take the questions/comments where they're coming from! Just be 100000000% percent sure you absolutely love the location before getting it. Good luck!

i just got a palm tree on my ankle, it is so cute and it is so me, and i look at it and it releases stresss......its my 'place' to go to ...if u know what i mean

Honestly, and you'd think I'm crazy, not too bad. The first few minutes hurt then it gets annoying. Shading is the worst but other than that, it's not unbearable.

i have been wanting to get a tattoo for the past year. I wanted a dove on my lower back. One day i decided to make an appointment along w/ my fh, when the day came we both chickend out. I still want it but i'm scared i'll regret it later, maybe one day. lol If it's something you want i think you should get it.

Now I feel bad for voting for somewhere else.... I guess a tattoo that calms you in times of tremendous stress is much different than getting one for an 18th birthday!

ive been debating on another place just cant think of one lol

i figure i can always get a super fancy great watch and wear it when i have partys and stuff to hide it when i want too lol

Yes I think you should get one, but I don't think your wrist is a good idea. Maybe you should think about a different spot. I have 2 tattoos, one on my ankle with my brother's name and a butterfly, and the 2nd one is a cross on the back of my neck. The cross idea was from Katie Holmes she gave her bridesmaids diamond crosses and I fell in love with them. I was going to beg Steve to buy it for me but he just bought me a diamond cross, so I told him I want it as a tattoo and he drew it up for me. I can't wait I want 2 more and then I am done. I will post pics of the ones I have.
They don't hurt I am chicken S**T.

they all felt ticklish i would say the worst one was the back the foot didn't hurt at ALL and everyone told me it would

how i see it is. im not doing it just to do it because its the in thing to do.

it is something that will help me focus and deal with a very difficult time that i'm going through. and the rest of my life it will be there to remind me that i went though this and came out ok and will come out of anyhthing else ok.

will also remind me of my dad looking back on it.

aftter he passes i might have his initals very very tiny added in to the bottomor something

i am a firm believer in getting tattoos if they mean something to you, but not just to get one for the hell of it... if you really love the tattoo, then get it... since it means something to you, i dont think you have anything to worry about.

and p.s. the wrist may hurt more than more traditional places.

Don't worry about doing it after the wedding...it is a part of you so show it off on your big day...my whole back is tattooed and I am going to get a dress that is as low cut in the back as possible to show it off... GO FOR IT!!!
