Just wondering... what size is your invite? I found a style/design that I really like and the sample I received was a 5x5 square but it sort of looked small to me.
Am I just being silly? Is 5x5 the usual size for a square invitation?

I've received a 5' square invitation from someone, and it was very nice.
Ours are 6' squares.

Square usually only come 5x5, 5.5x5.5, or 6x6. It's rare to see anything bigger than that. Not that squares cost more on postage though. I think we are going to do tall and skinny...4.5 x 7 or something like that.

However, my friends wedding invites were 6x6 square they looked great!

Ours are purposely 5x7 to avoid the extra postage!!

We were going to do a 5x5 square but I thought it looked small, I think the 5x7 just has an illusion of looking bigger so we went with that....

you are NOT being silly at all!!! i didn't think about this before i bought my invites, which are 5 x 5. my invite was a bit wordy so it was hard getting everything to fit as mine were DIY but i finally got it work and IM so happy with them! Once I was able to get it to fit in a larger font, it didn't look small. I haven't mailed mine yet, but from what i hear the square ones like that are extra postage.

I used a 7' square pocketfolds. 5' & 6' was awkward looking to me. Square invites do cost more to mail as well as pocketfolds. Mine cost $1.08 each to mail, verified at 3 post offices.

Mine is 5x7. Keep in mind that the larger square ones may require more postage regardless of weight.
ETA: I do think 5x5 is a little small for square, but it should be fine!
