so everytime i get a rsvp back there is a part circled on it correcting the address...its the part with the street nuber..i didnt put 79th street i wrote it out...so yesterday i asked my mail guy and he said it oes through a computer and they keep going to the wrong post office and i should have wrote 79th street like this

was i supposed to?on ur rsvp envelopes how didu write the street number?

I think for something like that you're supposed to write out the number not the words-how does it appear on the street sign?

my street reads 79th

i wrote it out in words and for some reason my post office cant read it lol

I think it is supposed to be in number form...79th Street, not Seventy-ninth St.

You dont write out the number of a street...you would write the house number out if it is below 10 but not street numbers....like you would write

ten walnut street...thats correct

but not twentty-fifth street.....thats wrong

I believe the PO computers only know how to translate numbers into house numbers, not street names. It probably is reading it as 'X79' with no street number in the computer, which is why they have to manually go through and write your street # on it. Thank goodness they're doing that!!!!
