Questioning my gown decision... AGAIN

Questioning my gown decision... AGAIN

Soo...after much deliberation I ordered my gown in white. Part of it was my mom tsk tsk ing about ivory and part of it was I felt ivory would be hard to match in shoes, veil, etc. I'd have to keep everything white away from me that day so I wouldn't be yellow.

but the catch is I've never seen my gown in white. The ONLY white sample of it is in San Diego. Seriously!

But every time I picture my gown I am picturing it in ivory because that's what I tried on and it looks so rich, and now my mom got over her tsk tsking and is saying maybe I SHOULD have ordered ivory. I am VERY fair skinned, so I think ivory would have been a good move, but I have very dark hair, so it makes good contrast with the white.

I already ordered my gown 2 months ago, so I'm sure it's too late to change, and who's to say i wouldn't change my mind again anyway..

I guess what i really want is for you to make me feel better about having chosen white. LOL

it's normal to second guess your decision. i do it every like 5 minutes!

you're going to look beautiful in white!

unless the ivory is very yellowy, the color won't be too different. Some ivorys I think are white, I can't even tell! Im sure the white would look wonderful! But if you feel like you def want the ivory, then maybe put in a call to the salon and ask if it can be changed.

Either way, Im sure there are other reasons why you loved your dress besides the color!

I am as white as white can get and got my gown in white. To top it off the sample I tried on was pink so I have no idea how the white will look. I've always wanted white and even though everyone tried to convince me to go ivory I stuck with my gut and I'm positive I will be overly happy with my suggestion. I was told that if I had a color set in my mind to go with that even if people don't agree because otherwise no matter how perfect you look you'll always second guess your decision and you won't be happy with your dress on your wedding day. I think it's totally normal to second guess your decisions. If you had gotten it in ivory you might still wonder if you should've ordered it in white. With that said, I'm sure you'll love your dress.

Crashing:

I second guessed my gown dozens on times, including the color. I NEVER saw my dress in white until the day it actually came in to the store and I went to try it on. I LOVED it even more then trying it on in Ivory. I'm VERY pale and have blonde highlights so I thought the white would DEF wash me out. I just tanned a couple times before the wedding and everything looked AWESOME! I'm SO glad I went with the traditional white and not the Ivory. Then again we had a black and white wedding so I didn't really have that much of a choice.

It's totally natural to second guess your dress. I'm sure when it comes in you will LOVE it and be happy with your choice. If you are REALLY wondering, call the salon you ordered it from and ask if it's too late to get the Ivory. Better to have asked then to not at all.
