questioning my photographer.......

pictures are veryyyy important to FH and i. i am booked with patken (steve). before i met with them i met with 3 other photographers and i fell in love with patken. now i know i shouldnt have done this but i started looking at other photographers websites and i am impressed by their work also (angelica glass) all the LIW patken proofs i have seen are great but then i noticed a few reviews saying they didnt take certain pictures and a lot of proofs are just head shots.

I think you need to talk to your photographer and tell him your style, what you like and what you don't like. If you still don't feel comfortable, price out other photgraphers...they may not offer what you want? Just a suggestion...good luck

I am booked with Patken, too and Steve was assigned to me for the day of (without even getting to look at his portfolio). Anyway, I demanded to meet with the photographer assigned to me tomorrow and view his portfolio as well. Did they really plan on assigning photographers without the bride knowing what his style is?

It happened to me too... I browsed other photographers like Angelica Glass & Thomas Paul , and ZORZ STUDIO (w/c caught my attention) because I'm beginning to have doubts about Patken. I'm not so sure if I regretted that I did not have enough time to look around before deciding. Yes, I love Patken the moment I see their photo displays and albums. But who's photography style is it? I browsed the brides' review and I ended up liking Doug's style (w/c is more expensive).

By the way, when we got our free engagement photoshoot, I only liked 2 photos. I was disappointed. So that got me thinking.

I booked them too bc 5 girls at work recommended and had awesome pictures...and I mean awesome. They have a great rep. I wouldn't worry too much, but make sure you give them a list of must take shots.

It was one of my concerns after I booked them. I recently met with my photographer and showed him exactly what style that I wanted to capture on my wedding day. He totally got what I was looking for.

I would collect a bunch of pictures that you want and love the style of and they'll do it. They are professionals and although the company might highlight a particular style, they are quite familiar with all that is out there.
