How much are you guys paying for Alterations and Bustle? I just went to my first fitting yesterday and I don't really need alot of alterations just a hem and bustle. She said it was going to be a pain to do the bustle b/c my train has multiple layers. I think they are doing a double french bustle and she told me around $400!!! Is this an insane amount for a bustle and a hem? What is everyone else paying?

I think I paid $125 for my bustle at Davids Bridal. . .all in all, I think my alterations and bustle combined cost me $220 (paid $750 for the dress).

My dress needed A LOT of alterations. I lost a ton of weight and it wasn't the right size to begin with. It was like a whole new dress by the time alterations were done and I paid about $350. So I think yours seem high.

I had a cap of about 200 for my alterations. It was an additional $10 per button for the bustle.

Yeah, my jaw almost hit the floor when she told me the price. I got a really good deal on my dress b/c I shopped around for the lowest price and seriously $400 for alterations is about half of what I paid for the dress!! I totally did not budget for this

Mine cost $235 for a hem and alterations. I didn't need a bustle b/c my train is detachable. It would have been an additional $150 for the bustle.

I was charged $10/bustle point. I have 19 so, I'm already up to $190. Then it was $100 for my hem. A grand total of $290. Everyone told me this isn't bad but to me I thought it was a lot. But I did like the way she did my bustle, so I'm okay with paying for good work.

I just called to ask them what the cap is on alterations and she said there is no cap and the alterations ladies get paid by the hour...What do they make $100 an hour? I think I went in to the wrong profession!!!!
