Questions...

Hey everyone!

Just wondering, when is the right time to book hair, flowers and DJ? My wedding is May 29th 2011.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions for affordable makeup & hair?

And.... is $600 a lot to pay for an officiant? (Doesn't include the $500 site fee...)

TIA!

Def. book DJ as soon as possible. If you want an independent hair/MU person book them asap too. If you want someone from a salon who may still come to you you might have to wait a little longer (or at least thats what I was told at the salon I talked to. They dont want to do trials/book until jan)

Cant help with flowers, but I'm guessing it wouldnt hurt to get on that really soon too.

Oh and I think $600 is high. If you really like that person its one thing, but you can def. find someone for less

Re: Questions...

I would get on booking those vendors asap!

as for the officiant, i think that this the average price- that is what I'm paying for mine. keep in mind that the site fee is a fee of the RH, not the officiant.

Re: Questions...

I did all my vendors right away since they book up fast and I didn't want to feel stressed out. I would recommend starting now. Kelly from Glam Me Up is reasonably priced for makeup. You should check her out! Good luck

Hi weekend twin - DJ and flowers I would book ASAP. With it being a holiday weekend people are booking up fast.

Hair and make-up you could wait a little bit but the other 2 I would get on soon.

I would Book asap only cause they all book up really quick and you dont wanna have to worry about settling for someone you arent 100% on if everyone else is booked up.

Whats your budget for Hair/Make up?

FM me if you want info My friend is an AWESOME DJ and I also have hair and make up people

Re: Questions...

DJ / Florist - I would make start making appts now.

Hair and Makeup - not really a big rush for that but if you have someone in mind that is popular/high in demand, I would maybe start contacting now and booking a trial with them so you can lock in your date.

I recommend Sandra Baldini for makeup. Her prices are very reasonable and her work is amazing! She will travel to you the day of.

As far as the officiant - that seems a bit steep, but are you getting married in a church or at the reception site? We are getting married in a church and our total fee is $550.
