I''m getting married on April 16th at the Westbury Manor. I have been looking at both DJs and bands and cannot make up my mind. I'm looking at Heart & Soul on Monday. I've seen Code Bleu, Skyline, and After Hours already. I really liked Code Bleu but not everyone agrees with me. I've also price quoted The Touch. What bands do you suggest?
I also have been looking at DJs because they are cheaper and my fiance sometimes likes the sounds of original versions. I've looked at Bravura but the MC I would of gone with is booked for my date. I have also seen Body Rock. What DJs would you suggest?
I worry about the music being to loud for when people want to talk at the tables...
Who would you suggest?

This was my hardest decision as well. I seriously looked at a dozen DJ's and half dozen Bands. Of course we were leaning towards a Dj bc of cost, but we ended up with a band. We just love that live interaction with the guests. We booked Vali Entertainment. They are located in the city, I can't recommend them enough. If we went with a dj it would have been Fusion DL. They are similar to Bravura, they have live musicians, but instead of playing over the music, they actually cut the music out so its just the live musician, it was really cool how they do it. So that would be my two suggestions.

For DJ's, we met with After hours, Body Rock and then Tommy's Tunes (which we ended up booking with).

east coast - just booked last night! love them, good people and a pleasure to work with thus far, which has been a bunch of email interaction over the past month and we saw them play 3 times!

im in the same problem. we LOVEEEEEEEEE Heart and soul the singer genessa is Amazing!!! shes young and hip and our style. but i wand a dj so the music we like sounds like the music we like. i fell in love with bravura. were seeing 2 more bands i think and then we're going to make a decision.

We went with Variety Music -- their price was great and we loved the way Ray sounded. He had this awesome voice that made us feel like movie stars at our wedding!
They were also SUPER accommodating about keeping the music low for us (my dad has hearing aids and my step-mom is deaf in one ear, so loud music was a huge no-no). The cocktail hour music was also FANTASTIC -- it was everything we wanted!
It sounds like you're trying too hard to find someone. You should just go with whomever makes you most comfortable. They're all good.

FH and I just saw Code Bleu live and thought they were phenomenal!! FH plays guitar, drums and bass and he was very impressed with them.
I chose a DJ based on cost alone. I didn't even meet with any bands. I honestly feel like with bands, you have to be prepared to spend a big chunk of money. And there are some songs that you just want to hear the original artist sing.
For DJ's I met with Hart to Hart, FM Entertainment and Step Lively. I chose Step Lively.

By 'everyone', I meant my parents, and they are the ones helping to pay. My fiance doesn't mind, but he likes a dj better because you can hear the original versions.

this wasnt a hard decision for me... i like a dj... bands sound nice and all but its not for me... not sure what it is but i just prefer a DJ...
we are using LMS Entertainment... google them... great DJ!!
