Has anyone had to get out of a lease??? and if so, did they work with you or were they total a$$holes? I might have to terminate my lease early because we found a house that we love.

it really depends on your management company..
DH had an experience where he needed to pay the rest of the year's rent if he wanted to get out of it-- and his dad is a lawyer-- essentially the lease is a contract.
I got out of a lease early- but I supplied another tenant-- and the mgmt company I think took a little advantage-- trying to get rent for each day-- when if I had stayed the whole time- they would not have received rent for every day.. this was only one month.
Now- we are in the same sitch- we want out one month early and our mgmt company said they would work with us- as long as the apt is rented..
