questions about leaving on my honeymoon???

I was hoping I could get some advice about honeymoon planning.... I am undecided when I should leave for my Hawaii honeymoon.. the day after the wedding (Sun) or that Mon. I am unsure --on the one hand I would like to start my honeymoon- sleep on the plane... but then again I don't know if I would be too exhausted ... what are you doing??? what do you suggest

My wedding is on a Friday night and because we have a lot of out of town quests we will be leaving for Hawaii on Monday morning.

Our wedding is this Saturday, 11/3 and we are leaving at 6:55 AM the next morning. We are pulling an all-nighter because I want to pass out on the plane and get to Hawaii as soon as possible! Our flight was originally scheduled for 8:30 but has be re-routed twice due to the Sept. 11th attacks. We are flying on American Airlines so they have cut a lot of jobs.

My wedding is on a Saturday night - we're leaving Monday for our honeymoon so we can spend time more time with our guests.

Our wedding is on July 4th, a Thursday, and we won't be departing for Aruba until Saturday morning (around 9am)! We wanted to spend time with my family who will be making the trip to LI for the wedding! :) Nancy

our wedding is on a sunday and we are not leaving for our honeymoon (disney cruise) until the thursday after.

I say definitely leave on the Monday!! My husband and I had 3 days after the wedding to leave for the honeymoon and you need those days! We hung out with family and friend that had traveled really far! We made it to the bank and got to pack at a normal pace!! I would highly recommend leaving on the Monday! The experience should be enjoyable not rushed!! Good luck!! Ayanna

I just got married, 26 days ago, on Oct. 6, which was a Saturday, but we didn't leave for our honeymoon until the Monday after. We spent the next day packing, running errands (picking up tuxes, stuff for the honeymoon, etc.), and going through all the envelopes so that my mother could go to the bank while we were gone. If I had to worry about packing that week of the wedding, I would have definitely ended up in Bellevue!!! And because I was so not stressed the day after wedding, I was able to pack with no problem at all. Usually I'm a neurotic mess when it comes to packing, but this time I could care less what I brought with me, I just couldn't wait to get there!!! Good Luck!

What we did...

We decided to leave the morning after the wedding. I was glad we did because the trip is long and I was so excited and happy that I did not mind. I even fell asleep, which I never do. We did not open gifts until we got back, so figure we got about 4 or 5 hours of sleep before we left. I couldn't wait to get away, but everyone is different.
