I wanted to have a wedding in a vineyard, and I know I have to bring a lot of stuff into it. I was just wondering if anyone knew about how much per person it was to get a caterer are we talking 5000? 10000? or more. we are having about 100 people thanks!!!!!

Re: questions about prices caterers
We considered doing this and got quotes in the 80 to 125pp range. I think we even found cheaper but it was in Westchester.

Re: questions about prices caterers
At the vineyards, like Raphael there is a site fee in addition per person. It's beautiful but most of places I looked at had site fees close to $10000 in addition to per person

Wow! I didn't realize it was that expensive. I wanted to get married at the Vineyards but logistically it wasn't going to happen. Glad I didn't waste a trip.

Re: questions about prices caterers
Raphael's has their own exclusive caterer and is indoors etc. Very rustic, mediterranean? I dont know how to explain Look it up haha They cook there. You don't get an outside vendor. They take care of everything except flowers/music/photography, well I guess like any other venue :) There's a site fee and its huge I think,or small depending on time of year, and a per/head. It's way more per head than 10,000 for 100 people. If you email them they'll get back to you soon with new prices etc etc.
They've been great so far, only one hiccup that is annoying me (very very very small but i'm OCD like that and not too patient at times ) but other than that i'm loving it there.
The other vineyards we saw require you to get all that stuff but have preferred vendors lists with caterers, rentals of table linens, etc. You need or your vendor needs to get a liquor license, tent or no tent and all that other stuff. That was a lot of work I thought. They also have site fees, well the ones that we saw.
*There is also a catering hall called 'The Vineyards' in that area. They are way cheaper, no site fee and have a small vineyard area on the grounds for pictures I believe. Sorry havent been there in ages.

Re: questions about prices caterers
It depends on the vineyard you choose. I did all of this about 7 months ago, and decided on a vineyard where I had to bring everything in. It actually isn't as bad as it sounds if you go with a caterer who takes care of your rentals. I think if even the smallest part of you is thinking vineyard, go see a few, that's what I did after visiting a ton of other places on LI and in Manhattan, and ultimately booked the first vineyard I went to! Good luck, message me if you have any questions.
