QUESTIONS ABOUT WESBURY MANOR

hi guys.... I havent posted to much recently, but I'm so excited to say we book Westbury Manor yesterday! But to anyone who has had there wedding there i have some questions..maybe u can help

How many bridal suites are there? It seems to be in the reviews that there is only 1 and there were problems with people having them.. I read one girl had another bridal party in there when she wasnt there, and also another bridal party walked in on her in the bathroom... I'm planning on using it to get dressed and to use the bathroom through out the day, we were told we have the only key, but the reviews don't.. anyone know about this? I am going to call but any info would help...

Also anyone who atteneded a wedding there. Was the breakfast they offer b4 the wedding worth it? Did u share it with the other bridal party?

Bathroom situation.. It seemed that the 2 downstairs rooms shared one bathroom with only 4 stalls. I was there when there was 2 weddings going on and i had to wait a while to use the bathrooms. Any one have problems with this?

Any other issues please feel free to share with me, I feel though that everyone has reviewed WM very well other then these issues.. Help All Info needed!! Thanks I know everyone will calm my fears!

Re: QUESTIONS ABOUT WESBURY MANOR

They have 2 bridal suites, and they offer continental breakfast of muffins, danish, juice, milk, coffee for early guests. And you don't share it with the other wedding party...

And I heard the bathroom is not an issue 'cus the reception are staggered.

I went to one reception hall in NJ where there was 3 weddings at one time and they had 6 bathrooms and it wasn't an issue. Nobody had to wait...

My only quesiton would be will both wedding parties share the garden at the same time... ?

It won't be fun for our guests to bump into guests from the other party.

each room has a separate bridal suite. i never ever stepped foot in mine!

the bathroom is not an issue. we had no problems whatsoever and i've been to 2 other weddings there with no problems.

the garden is separated. the manor room has the larger area that you see when you drive in, as well as the area behind that section. the garden room has the area near where the wedding ceremonies are. it's a smaller area but garden room weddings are smaller than manor room weddings. i don't know where the smallest room goes...but then again they only do 2 weddings at a time.

honestly guys, i worried about so many little stupid things before my wedding that we a complete non issue the day of the wedding! i stressed myself out for NOTHING! WM is great and will take care of everything! don't worry please!!

ETA: i have no idea what this breakfast thing is. we offered our OOT guests a free hot buffet at the hotel as opposed to the continental breakfast that they offered. what does WM do?

Re: QUESTIONS ABOUT WESBURY MANOR

I'm not sure how many bridal suties they have At least 2 I think since my DOC wanted to move us to the larger suite until we found out we were already in the largest suite.

We were the only event that day so we did not have any issues with sharing the suite or having keys floating around. We had an evening wedding so I cannot help with the breakfast question. We had no issues with the bathrooms and there was no line the one time I went in there to dab the sweat from my face.

Congrats on booking Westbury Manor

thanks guys that helps a lot to know that... with the gardens they said were staggered, i just dont know how it works with pics and stuff seeing that I know i'm arriving prior to our wedding to take pics, I would assum the other wedding is too, i dont exactly want to be waitng to take pics, and is the other bride allowed to take pics while my outdoor cocktail hour is in motion? And there wedding starts at 12 mine at 1230, so do u know if I can no longer take pics while there wedding starts?

Yeah, I would like to know this too, I hear the ceremony is off to the side of the garden, right outside the manor room. And you're given an hour for ceremony - 30 mins for rehearsal, 30 for ceremony itself.

So does this mean during the one hour of rehearsal and ceremony you have the whole garden to yourself? I certainly don't want my guests to see the other wedding party taking photos while we're having the ceremony there...

Hey your wedding is going to be at the same place as mine exactly a year (to the date) from my wedding

My sister (getting married there in Oct 2008) asked Mel this & he said that they coordinate the photographers & the parties so as not to have them infringe on each other's times.

The ceremony location is in one part of the garden & is behind a wall (kinda reminds me of 'The Secret Garden') There are other areas in the Garden to use as well, and they are around the different sides of the WM.

Re: QUESTIONS ABOUT WESBURY MANOR

We had none of the issues you are asking about. I never saw another wedding party - I didn't even know there was another ceremony before us until someone told me. I never saw the other bride.
There are two bridal suites - we were in the manor room and had the one upstairs which also had a bathroom. We hung out in there before the ceremony after taking the pics - it was a little cramped for the whole bridal party, but it didn't matter, everyone was just having fun. We went up there one during the reception to bustle my dress, and that was it.
All my guests enjoyed the food before the ceremony very much.
